The Grand Tour First Filming Location Revealed

The Grand Tour starring Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May, has finally revealed their first filming location! The show won’t air until the Fall (Autumn for you Brits) of 2016, so it’s good they are finally filming their Tent sessions for the first episode. As you may already know, the Top Gear Grand Tour guys have ditched the studio format and went with a more interesting approach of setting up Tents in various locations, the first being Johannesburg, South Africa! They’ve made this announcement along with a video competition for a chance to win a trip and travel accommodation to attend the taping. See the contest below:

“The Grand Tour goes to Johannesburg” Competition

The first ever studio recording of the new Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond & James May Amazon Prime show “The Grand Tour” will take place in Johannesburg, South Africa on 17th July 2016. The pre-recorded studio section of the programme will be filmed in front of a live audience, all housed within a giant tent.

To celebrate, Amazon is giving fans the opportunity to win one of three pairs of tickets, travel and accommodation to be part of the recording in Johannesburg. To enter for a chance to win, entrants should share, via Twitter, a photo or video of the most unusual place they’ve ever put up a tent, using the hashtag #TheGrandTourJoburg. The top 10 entries will be shortlisted by an Amazon Prime Video panel, and the final three winners will be selected by Clarkson, Hammond and May (the “Competition”).

The Competition starts at 11:00 BST on 2nd June 2016 and closes at 23:59 BST on 8th June 2016.

All entrants (“Entrants”) must use the hashtag #TheGrandTourJoburg in their tweet to be considered for entry. Tweets that do not use the hashtag will not be considered. Replies that do not use the hashtag will not be considered.

Each photograph or video submitted must be the original creation of the Entrant and must be suitable for family viewing on a national news network, meet the content guidelines found at www.amazon.co.uk/content guidelines, and meet other reasonable community standards. If submitting a video, the video must be in the English language; be a minimum of 30 seconds and a maximum of 90 seconds in length; have the maximum video size of 500 MB; be of reasonable audio quality. Videos must not include music or captions, including, but not limited to, credits, subtitles or title screens.
