Mecum returning to Tulsa in June with over 600 cars

This afternoon Mecum Auctions, the world’s largest collector car auction company, announced that will be returning to Tulsa and the SageNet Center at Expo Square June 9th – 10th, and they will have over 600 classics, American muscle cars, Corvettes, trucks, Hot Rods, exotics, customs and more.

Mecum has always attracted a wide variety of consignments and the top three sellers from the 2022 Tulsa auction are indictive of that. Number One was a 1965 Shelby Cobra CSX4000 Series Roadster (Lot S124) which sold for $409,750. That was followed by a 1965 Mercury Comet A/FX Lightweight (Lot S145) built by Bill Stroppe and Associates that sold for $313,500 and a 1985 Toyota FJ-45 Land Cruiser Custom (Lot S159) that sold for $173,500.

Headed for the block this year are a variety just as wide. On the vintage side we have a red 1954 GMC 3100 Pickup Truck (Lot S135) with custom tan leather interior and a surprise under the hood, a Corvette V-8 engine, a 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 Fastback (Lot S123) with a 10 year restoration and 74,382 miles on the odometer and a black 1963 Ford Galaxie Convertible (Lot S83) with red interior, a 289 CI V-8 engine and 3-speed manual transmission overdrive and power steering.

For the modern car fans, there are some fantastic lots including a 2012 Chevrolet COPO Camaro (Lot S129), No. 56 of 69 produced in 2012, with a naturally aspirated aluminum 427 CI V-8 engine and a 2019 Porsche 911 GT3 RS (Lot S111) with a 4.0L flat 6 engine and automatic transmission and only 962 miles.
