Hyundai leading IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Championship heading into Watkins Glen

#33: Bryan Herta Autosport with Curb Agajanian, Hyundai Elantra N TCR, TCR: Robert Wickens, Harry Gottsacker

This weekend the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge takes on Watkins Glen International and they do so with a new championship leader.

After a successful weekend at Hyundai Motor America’s home race at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, Hyundai leads the championship standings in TCR Drivers’, Teams’ and Manufacturers’. Bryan Herta Autosport teammates Mark Wilkins and Mason Filippi, who captured victory in California during Round 3 of IMPC competition, currently lead the Drivers’ standings with BHA teammates Robert Wickens and Harry Gottsacker close behind in second.

As they enter round 4 of the IMPC schedule, the reigning IMPC Championship winning team of Michael Lewis and Taylor Hagler are hoping to break through and find the podium after a top six finish in Round 3.

Rounding out the Hyundai Elantra N TCR stable is van der Steur Racing’s Taylor Maxson and Bryan Ortiz in the No. 91 along with the Deily Motorsports pairing of Jacob Deily and Cabot Bigham in the No. 74.
