The Focus RS Fails At Being A Mustang While Leaving A Meet

You’ve seen all the videos and memes, Mustangs have a terrible reputation of being driven by terrible drivers who wreck spectacularly while leaving a car meet like Cars and Coffee. Now it’s the Focus RS’ turn to live up to its big brother’s reputation. The 2016 Ford Focus RS is an all wheel drive monster with 350 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque, but unlike most hot hatches this one has a trick differential and Drift Mode that can send 70% of its power exclusively to the rear wheels. In this Cars and Coffee in Stuttgart, Germany, the new Focus RS accelerates through a turn and does its best impression of the Mustang in front of a crowded pedestrian filled intersection. However, it comes up short.
